November 26, 2001 Over the past year, HD Electric Company has made a number of updates to the accessory probes and cable fault testers. We would like to advise you of the following:     ASP-15/25: The newly designed underground bushing probe, catalog number ASP-15/25, has replaced catalog numbers ASP-15 and ASP-25. The ASP-15/25 is designed for use in both 15kV and 25kV class bushings. ASP-35U: The underground bushing probe for 35kV systems, catalog number ASP-35U, remains the same and can be used in all 35kV class bushings. It cannot be used in 15kV and 25kV class bushings. EAP-1 and EAP-2: These probes are discontinued. Users of the EAP's can use the ASP-15/25 for bushing applications, or the new GCP-1 (see below) for general contact applications. Users of the EAP-2 are to be advised that these probes are designed for use in 25kV class bushings only. The EAP-2 is not to be used in 15kV class bushings. GCP-1: A new general contact probe, catalog number GCP-1, is available for use in a number of applications. It is designed for directly contacting conductors and is unable to be used in bushings. EA-15/25: The elbow adapter probe, catalog number EA-15/25, has replaced catalog numbers EA-1 and EA-2. The EA-15/25 can be used on both 15kV and 25kV class elbows. CFT-35: The cable fault tester, catalog number CFT-35, has replaced catalog numbers CFT-100, CFT-101 and CFT-102. The CFT-35 can be used on 15kV, 25kV and 35kV underground systems.
