The new Voltage Testing & Phasing Products (VTP) brochure showcases the most comprehensive selection of voltage indication, measurement and test products from 5V to 765kV available in the marketplace today.

HDE's Handheld Voltage Detectors consist of the LV-5 Stray Voltage Detector and the VP-1 Voltage Probe. These handheld voltage detectors are used to detect voltages starting at 5 VAC. They give an indication of the presence of voltage with either a flashing light or flashing light and beeping.

HDE's DVM-80 Series Digital Voltmeters are compact, high accuracy digital voltmeter and phasing instruments designed to measure voltages up to 40kV and up to 80kV when used with a pair of add-on resistors.

HDE's new PRX-69D Distribution Proximity Voltage Detector compliments our very successful PRX-500 launched last year. The PRX-69D is a non-contact detector with seven standard voltage ranges from 120 V to 69 kV.

October 1, 2010 HDE's DVI-500 Digital Voltage Indicators are a new addition to our Digital Voltage Indicator line. The DVI is a direct contact, compact instrument designed to read the voltage on a conductor from 0.1kV up to 500kV line-to-ground and display the voltage on a large 3-digit ultra-bright LED display.

June 28, 2010 HDE's HALO is a high voltage digital ammeter for taking AC current measurements up to 2000 amps. Its unique open-core design allows it to hook over a conductor and within seconds obtain a reading. Attached to a hotstick, the HALO is capable of being used on all system voltages up to 69kV.

April 21, 2010 The PRM-100 Phase Rotation Meter is used to determine which is the leading phase of any two phases of a three-phase conductor system. The PRM is a dual range, 0-5kV and 0-15kV, device that can be used as high as 45kV when optional resistor sticks (R-45) are added. It consists of two sticks with a connecting cord and ground lead.

March 12, 2010 HD Electric Company's March product focus is our VarCom Communicating Capacitor Controls, which will be on display at the DistribuTECH Show at the HDE booth 642! HDE's capacitor controls provide VAR and voltage support on power distribution systems. When installed on switched capacitor banks, these controls help maximize power system efficiencies and improve power factor.

November 23, 2009 HD Electric Company's NEW Carrying Case Lanyard for the V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector combines the carrying case and lanyard into a single case. The Carrying Case Lanyard is designed to leave the V-Watch permanently mounted inside and offers the dual feature of protecting the V-Watch when not in use and acting as a lanyard for the V-Watch when in use.

September 24, 2009 The Quick-Check Transformer & Capacitor Tester is a versatile tool for quick and easy checks of capacitors, transformers and the connections made to them. In the field, the Quick-Check is used to test the primary and secondary sides of single or three-phase transformer installations for short circuits prior to energizing.

August 19, 2009 This month's product focus is on the DVM-80 Series High Accuracy Digital Voltmeter & Phasing Sets. These are compact instruments designed to measure voltages up to 40kV and up to 80kV with a pair of add-on resistors. The DVM-80 and DVM-80T make all voltage readings accurate and repeatable to within 1%. The two-stick design can be used in both overhead and underground applications with underground probes.

August 3, 2009 On Tuesday, July 28th HD Electric Company participated in a bookmobile ribbon-cutting ceremony at the North Chicago Public Library in North Chicago, IL. HD Electric's retired Mobile Demonstration Van - which has since been replaced by two fully-equipped Mobile Demonstration Trailers - was donated to the library through the help of the Gorter Family Foundation of Lake Bluff, IL.

March 16, 2009 HD Electric Company's HALO Ammeters are high voltage digital ammeters for use on power distribution systems and are designed to take True RMS AC current measurements up to 2000 amps on voltages up to 69kV. The open core design allows the user to quickly hook it over a conductor from the end of a hotstick and obtain a current reading in amperes. The HALO can be used to take spot load measurements on single or multi-phase systems to determine load balance.
